Save Game process on n64 games

Hi guys, im new here!

So i have just installed hakchi 2.21f and retroarch 1.0c and glupen64 on my snes classic and everything is running well besides a couple issues with the n64 games.

Everytime i click on reset i get a c8 problem (only when i start n64 games and click on reset). This is not a big deal as i can get back to the menu by using the shortcut select and down on the dpad. But then no option for save states come up.. i just land in the snes menu like i havent started a game.

But now the problem!

I cant save zelda oot ore majoras mask. I can save both games in game but whenever i shut down the console and turn it back on, the saves are gone.

Mario 64 however works fine, i can save in game and the saves remain there even after i shut down the console.

Please help me guys.
