Idea: Would be awesome to have a behavior similar to Hangouts, that recognizes when the user is speaking with the mic muted. Maybe shoot a notification, etc. What you think?

I think that's great. I'm planning to have a audio meter to help adjust the audio level.
Your request will be easy to implement once this is done.
