Here are some proposed community guidelines for Code Social Community:

Core Values:

  • Respect: Treat all members with kindness and respect, regardless of their background, experience level, or opinions.
  • Inclusivity: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.
  • Collaboration: Encourage teamwork, knowledge sharing, and open communication.
  • Continuous Learning: Embrace a growth mindset and strive for continuous improvement.

Code of Conduct:

  • Harassment and Discrimination: We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior. This includes but is not limited to personal attacks, threats, or offensive language.
  • Respectful Communication: Engage in constructive and respectful discussions, even when we disagree. Avoid personal attacks and inflammatory language.
  • Academic Integrity: Adhere to academic integrity standards. Plagiarism and cheating are strictly prohibited.
  • Appropriate Content: Refrain from posting content that is harmful, offensive, or illegal. This includes hate speech, spam, or advertising without permission.
  • Privacy and Security: Respect the privacy of others and avoid sharing personal information without consent. Be mindful of security best practices when sharing code or other sensitive information.
  • Mentorship and Feedback: Offer and accept constructive feedback in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Community Guidelines Enforcement: The community team reserves the right to remove or edit content, issue warnings, or temporarily or permanently ban members who violate these guidelines.

Additional Guidelines:

  • Event Conduct: Adhere to the specific guidelines for in-person and online events, including respecting the speaker's time and following the event's code of conduct.
  • Mentorship: Mentors should be patient, supportive, and provide guidance without judgment.
  • Mentees: Mentees should be proactive, ask questions, and be open to feedback.

Would you like to add any specific rules or guidelines based on your community's unique needs or values?
