Describe the Bug

Deleting more than one character at a time with backspace impossible

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create an odt document
  2. Type a line
  3. Go back to a former word and try to delete several characters in a row using backspace

Expected Behavior

That I can delete as much as characters in a row as I want

Actual Behavior

After the deleting the first character the second is not deleted anymore

*Edit 10 Dec. 2024

  1. After typing a single word I can delete as much characters as I want of that particular word using backspace, AS LONG AS I HAVEN'T INSERTED A SPACE.
  2. Insert a space, and then type a second word.
  3. When I go back to the first word, I can only delete one character with backspace. After the first deletion further deletions are not possible anymore. So the problem somehow seems to be related to using the spacebar.

I am experiencing the same issue. I did wonder if it was the keyboard app that could be the issue. Haven't tried with a different one yet.

Edit* just tried with a different keyboard and the issue is still there.

In other apps I don't experience this issue, so it is clearly related to Collabora.

Same thing with the AOSP keyboard in LineageOS. I don't think they have an interest in the open source/degoogled community considering how old this bug is.

Same here with the Android app with calc on a pixel 6 Pro with Graphen OS

This seems like a duplicate of #2438. Please explain if someone does not think so.
