Some datasets cannot be downloaded

I encountered the following problem when downloading the country211 dataset
ReadTimeoutError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='cvinthewildeus.blob.core.windows.net', port=443): Read timed out

I tried several times, but it seems that the data set cannot be downloaded due to network problems. Would you mind sharing data through web disks? This can effectively avoid data transmission problems.

Thanks for your interests. We just tested on my end, the dataset can be downloaded successfully. It is likely that there are some Internet issues that causes the error.

If you are really interested in downloading the datasets manually, here are the instructions. The data is currently shared via Azure storage. You may directly download the data from specific links.

Step 1. Choose a dataset:

• All the 20 image classification datasets are stored at: https://cvinthewildeus.blob.core.windows.net/datasets/classification

• You may select a dataset by choosing the corresponding dataset folder, from one of the 20 datasets in the following screenshot. For example, country211 is chosen in your case, the dataset-specific link is https://cvinthewildeus.blob.core.windows.net/datasets/classification/country211_20210924

(Note: It is expected that you will not be able to see what is inside each folder from your Browser, if you try to open the links)

Step 2. Choose a file in the dataset.

• Once a dataset folder is chosen, you may need to further specify which file/set you want to download. For example, the screenshot below shows the files & folders for country211. If you want to download training set, you may specify the link as:

https://cvinthewildeus.blob.core.windows.net/datasets/classification/country211_20210924/train.zip

• Similarly, you may download other files by specifying different files by editing the link.
