The idea is to sign three updates, roughly a week before day X:

  • Decrease cooldown for delegators and pools to 15mins before X (900s) with effective time set to 1 day before protocol update.
  • Protocol update scheduled with effective time at 12.00 of day X.
  • Increase cooldown for delegators and pools to 1 week (604800s) with effective time set to 1 day after protocol update.
