Change the main index page to just a regular HTML page

Three links at the top

  • Home (index)
  • Metrics (word count page)
  • Writing (blog folder)

If the homepage could is encapsulated in a folder, that would make it easy to through different templates in there. So like the index page with header/footer broken out and used across all the blog pages as well. As well as a stylesheets folder.
