Do we need a custom openTempFile?

There is a custom definition of openTempFile in copilot-theorem. It's used by the Kind2 backend.

There's a note attached to it elsewhere that says that the one in System.IO in Haskell doesn't work on MacOSX.

Can someone replicate that? If it works, the openTempFile function in Copilot could become a candidate for removal.

I honestly have no idea what that comment is hinting at. As far as I can tell, openTempFile works on macOS on every version of GHC that I've tried. Case in point: I am using macOS currently, and I have successfully used the temporary library (which is built on top of System.IO.openTempFile) library on several projects without issue.
