1.19.2 v1.1.2 Cart sometimes uses crafting menu as storage

I use the crafter to compress cobblestone, and often times when I open the cart gui, the crafting menu will contain multiple stacks of cobblestone even when the main storage is almost completely empty. I usually have to manually remove the stacks of cobblestone from the crafting menu before it will (temporarily) actually work as intended and craft compressed cobblestone.
