Host machine traffic going through Tortilla Interface?

I recently installed Tor/Tortilla and noticed that my host machines's DNS queries were showing up in the Tortilla log. This was before any of my VMs were powered on.

Is it intended that that hosts traffic go through Tortilla as well? How might I make it so only the VM uses Tortilla?
