The idea is to save all information of a layout, such that campbellviewer -d database.nc -l my_layout.cvl gives the exact same plot as the one which was saved during an earlier session.

Settings which have to be saved:

  • Which modes of which dataset are plotted
  • Characteristics of the Line2D objects? -> which curve in the plot has which color/linestyle/marker etc.

What do we do if the layout does not match the database?
