Question is what option should actually do.

  1. "modern stand" is S0ix.
  2. "connected standby" = "modern standby" + keep internet connection

If it is just about S0ix then we had such option for laptops to select S3 over S0ix, then S0ix is marked as not supported in ACPI and Windows (or any other OS) should not try to use it. https://docs.dasharo.com/dasharo-menu-docs/dasharo-system-features/#power-management-options

From what I've noticed, Windows will more aggresively suspend devices and go into deeper sleep when on battery power, but on AC power it'll stay on and connected much longer. This is controlled by Windows and can be configured, but I don't think we can influence it from firmware
