Package Name

ddtrace

Package Version(s)

2.18.1

Describe the goal of the feature

According to the wheel index, the most recent build is for Python 3.12 (ddtrace-2.18.1-cp312-cp312-...whl). To use ddtrace on a Docker image based on Python 3.13, I would need a lot of development tools to build it from source, including the Rust toolchain.

Please consider adding Python 3.13 to the wheels building process.

Thanks for reaching out.

We are planning to include wheels for python 3.13 in the next release (v2.19.0). The official release should go out within the next two weeks.

Here's our first release candidate that ships wheels for 3.13: https://github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-py/releases/tag/v2.19.0rc1. We'd love to get feedback.
