That's actually pretty cool! But how is a user supposed to find that out?
This browser has a lot of cool features, but some of them hidden!

Thank you. There are indeed even more awesome features to be discovered, if you know where to look! I will donate.
But this help should be in Jolla Store too, I installed it from there. Or have a link to the pictures on a preset welcome page. Or...
It's not possible to discover all these wonderful features just by trying (unless you try for a long time or you're vey lucky).

Two of the help pictures have these glasses in the address bar - I assume that's private mode? Haven't a way to enable that either... Or is it something else?

The "help" will be added in the next version.
Glasses are the "reader mode", but it's an user defined button: you can customize that action by looking the settings
