Yes, at least for the moment you need to have a pihole instance accessible.

Well, this is the second time this came up today. I'll look into allowing enabling/disabling each integration (pi-hole/npm) individually.

Yea please if you can update here if you were able to do that, i think it would be useful and would allow more people to make use of the app

v0.6.0 is out which allows to set env var PIHOLE_DISABLED to true to disable Pi-Hole functionality.
