We are pleased to inform you that Copernicus Marine Toolbox version 1.2.1 is now available!
It includes notably the top requested feature by end-users with the forthcoming June 2024 Catalog Service Release: the improvement of the management of the dataset versions.
From the last officially supported version (1.1.0), the following changes were included:

Describe Feature

Subset Feature

  • Improved the Climate and Forecast (CF) compliance of the generated output by:
    • removing the _FillValue attributes in all coordinates
    • correcting depth dimension attributes
    • modifying the valid_min and valid_max attributes of the time dimension, now expressed as a float (matching the units of the original data) instead of a string
  • Improved the generated output compatibility with legacy NetCDF clients thanks to the option --netcdf3-compatible
  • Improved the selection on the longitude for some datasets that was incorrect in some very specific cases

Get Feature

  • Improved --file-list option to download faster the specified file(s)
  • Improved robustness of downloads thanks to smarter retries covering more use cases
