Delay Reduction?

Hi,

Is there anything that can be done about the 7-10 second delay that cryptsetup waits when you submit a password candidate?

This greatly slows down any ability to use this software.

What kind of encryption you are trying to guess password for (tcrypt/vcrypt/luks1/luks2)?

Are you sure it is delay and not calculating effort? Can you provide trace of system calls and see on which one is stuck? I would appreciate it.

Just saw this. I'll need to put together a test scenario to demonstrate and capture this. It will take me about 3 weeks to get the time to do it. Apologies for the wait.

I am certain that this is a delay and not a calculation burden as this was reproduced on a copy of the volume header when I tried it.
