  • moving it earlier in the process so we can deploy more often
  • slowing things down a little bit - a lot of new things happen there very fast

Maybe the first deployment should happen without custom domain name?

Deploying a django app is a lot of stuff. If the basic deployment is reachable on 'fantasyname.heroku.com' as soon as possible, maybe even before lunch, this should give a nice success. Then its back to coding, followed by some more deployment then some Internet+DNS stuff.

Just my two cents...
