Standardizing devices for types of drivers

This forum is for discussing what common set of devices should be available for driver types. For instance, drivers that control dimmer switches should all have a brightness device that can be set from 0.0 to 100.0. Maybe they should also have a state device so you can turn it off, but retain the brightness level. Or not. But those sorts of details can be hashed out in this channel.
