"Preferences" does not always react on pressing "escape"

Describe the issue you are having

When I select "Edit > Preferences" from the menu the "Preferences" dialog box opens.

When I now press "escape" it closes, as it should.

When I click on any of the shortcut lines and then press "escape" nothing happens.

Did you connect to an already running interpreter or start the interpreter from RIDE?
