Hello, all. I find that "n_plant_lim" physiology parameter in ED2IN, "If this set to 1, nitrogen limitation will applied to plants. In this case, you will also need to be sure to initialize nitrogen correctly". Then, how to initialize fast soil nitrogen, mineralized soil nitrogen, and slow soil nitrogen? For soil carbon pools, we can carry out a spin-up similation to get them. But for soil nitrogen, we can get them from field survey or near bare ground spin-up or some global nitrogen product? I will be grateful if someone could reply me.

Tagging @dmedvigy here, he may have a better sense on how to use the N_PLANT_LIM option. He also has an updated biogeochemical cycle in ED2 (paper here) that may be useful, though this has not been integrated with the main GitHub distribution yet.
