Capture
Whenever I open browser, it shows "Privacy Badger failed to initialize". I've to disable and then enable it every time I open the browser to make it work. Please fix the issue.

Thank you for opening an issue!

We fixed this issue for most users in Privacy Badger Version 2024.6.3. What browser and what Privacy Badger version are you using?

If you're already using Version 2024.6.3, we'd appreciate more information to debug what's going on. Could you open the dev tools console for Privacy Badger's background service worker and see if there are any relevant errors there? Feel free to post screenshots here. Thanks!

Instructions for Chrome:

  1. Visit chrome://extensions
  2. Enable "Developer mode" in the upper right
  3. Click the "service worker" link in Privacy Badger's listing
  4. Switch to the Console tab

Previously: #2979, #2966

It looks like you use the Edge browser, and your version of Privacy Badger is from the Edge add-ons store, so it's probably not an MV3-specific issue.

Thanks for the screenshot, but it looks like you inspected Privacy Badger's popup, not Privacy Badger's background process.

Could you visit edge://extensions, enable "Developer mode", click the "background page" link in Privacy Badger's listing, select the Console tab, and share a screenshot of that?

Let me know if you have any questions.

It is working currently well. If it failed again, then I will provide the screenshot you asked.
