To change the renderer, edit MapsActivity#L31
The polyline in this sample includes a pattern, which increases the memory usage even more with the latest renderer.
To disable the pattern, comment MapsActivity#L82
Run the app and check the Logcat:
The app adds a polyline every 5 seconds, removing the previously added one and logs the allocated memory before and after adding the polyline, then substracing the values to show the increase in allocated bytes.
With MapsInitializer.Renderer.LATEST:
