New Chat - Icon isn't displayed for the new chat #7399

Action Performed:

  1. Go to https://staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Log in with expensifail
  3. Click on New Chat
  4. Search for a user that you don't have any messages with and open the chat.

Expected Result:

Icon is displayed for new chat

Actual Result:

Icon is not displayed for new chat

I was unable to reproduce this on staging or production when logging in as neil@expensifail.com. See the video below for my attempt to reproduce this on production. @kbecciv can you try with a different account?

This is also reproducible on mac.
To repro this we need to add a new user.

@thesahindia To clarify, do you mean type a completely new username into the new chat input? Or do you mean create a new user and then type their name into the new chat input?

Yes we just need to type a new username

I was unable to reproduce on my dev environment on all platforms, even when typing a new username into the input. I was also unable to reproduce it on web production. I'm going to un-assign and let someone work on this who is able to reproduce it.
