There is a gh-pages branch that is for the documentation website setup, and uses /root directory 's README.md to display, we could improve it or create another directory /doc and use that folder instead to deploy the website. You could refer to this repo as a reference DSCI310 Course Note repo

NOTICE, gh-pages does not exist anymore, if need to update the GitHub page website, simply add files into the docs/ directory (not the docs branch) and push it to main
