Describe the Bug

Creators-of-Create#4932

  • Drill removed
  • Ore on drill path not removed

There were problems with the pull-out rod -- there were layers that had not been removed. Which blocked the mechanism on the way back!

The bug could not be reproduced on a separate server:

  • It may take a long time.
  • You may need to load/unload a chunk with a mechanism frequently
  • Maybe the mechanism needs to run fast/slow
  • Perhaps the mechanism should be large.

I assume that the expected behavior of the machine breaks down when the chunk with the mechanism is loaded/unloaded multiple times

Reproduction Steps

  1. I use drills suspended on a rope
  2. I place "miner" with cannon
"miner" -- is some "drills" (11x11 for example) connected with rope, clue, etc.
  3. Launch system
  4. Everything works fine (as i see)
  5. I'm going far and for a long time (for 10 chunks)
  6. I can restart the server.
  7. When I come back:
  8. Some of the blocks on the miner's path not removed.
  9. On the At the level of the bedrock lie the remains of a drill.
( One day a rope exploded and I couldn't even find the remains of a drill )

Expected Result

  1. Drill Does Not Disappear
  2. All the ore in the drill's path is gone (in the chest)
  3. It is better for the machine not to work at all in unloaded chunks than to come to an incorrect state.

are you using the forge version or fabric version, if you are using forge version please close this issue, it needs to be fixed upstream then.

I use fabric version

I assumed that the bugs might be related. And fixing the bug in the forge version will fix the bug in the fabric version.

I also assumed that the bug was known. If not, I can provide any additional information.

Perhaps there are three bugs:

-The drill disappears when near the bedrock.
-The drill sometimes skips blocks
-(possibly) the whole thing disappears when the rope explodes.

It's also possible that it's a single bug..
