A lot of mesh features like cloth physics and facial flexes rely on setup in third-party modeling tools, but there is very little reliable information publicly available on the DMX mesh format. There is barely any source DMX files authored using official tools available, and none to my knowledge using anything more than basic features.
For example, cloth parameters are painted on with named per-vertex attributes in the DMX mesh. Any number of arbitrarily named and typed attributes can be added to to a mesh (and can also be directly accessed by shaders, neat!). There is very little documentation of exactly which attributes the cloth compiler can use, what they mean, and what data types and value ranges they use.
It would be nice to have documentation on everything the engine can read from a DMX mesh, and maybe some example files generated by official tools.
