Stuck at Building course Data... #570
Comments
I also have a similar issue. I am on ubuntu 20.04 with udeler 1.8.2 |
I've also done everything you said 😃 maybe udemy locked this option! |
The things is i have downloaded the course before, but i am at a new PC, as i was downloading it my net failed, and after that it seems the course got locket or something |
I think it might be udemy problem because I can't even download single video via their official site. That's response I found:
|
Thanks for the reply. Like allways, udemy bugs ;) |
compiled a new exe with the new app.js and seems to work. |
It doesn't work. I tried last night again! |
I think this new bug is due to Udemy adding auto-generated subtitles to English videos a couple of weeks ago. Check out videos in other languages and they can all be downloaded with Udeler without any problem. Not sure if it will help @FaisalUmair fix it, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up! |
Some Udemy videos also have DRM on them which seems to also cause issues with downloading. Every other udemy course downloader tool seems to be broken because of this |
I also have a similar issue |
Since theres so many issues around the same problem, it might be worth taking a look at this issue since it has information in one place about the issue with all the downloaders: r0oth3x49/udemy-dl#627 the TL;DR is that because of the DRM, you cant download full courses anymore. there wont be a "fix" or a "workaround". |
JUST found this app TODAY and installed it, and am having the SAME issue. So is this app now officially DEAD?? 😔 |
is there any update on this query?? udler stops at building course data |
and.......they are still trying haha. |
Just tried it. SAME thing. 😔 I am open to ALL suggestions. |
I seriously cannot believe people still don't understand that these programs can't be fixed, and are still asking for fixes and workarounds...
That is the reason why Udemy added DRM, is people like you distributing the stuff you download, this program was designed for PERSONAL use as Faisal stated himself. |
And that is why I originally asked if the app was now DEAD, but I was told it wasn't. That is all. I am not asking so I can "distribute" anything. I PAID for the course, so I would simply like to keep it locally. Whoever posted that other comment (who already deleted it) clearly had a different idea. |
I don't have a problem with wanting to keep local copies of stuff you bought, I want to also. These programs are dead though unless you can find a magical way to decrypt Widevine DRM and a way to legally publish said method without getting DMCA takedowns. Seems like it should be pretty obvious that isn't going to get a fix. |
Agreed. That's what I figured. |
I Updated also removed and installed again it is still stuck!
