questions about k_ban_class

I have a question about k_ban_class used when online clustering in https://github.com/FengZicai/Cluster3Dseg/blob/0ac72c20c918bba5b611097b42aeafe12ac7b887/spvnas/cluster_contrastloss.py#L55C33-L55C33 . I am wondering what the function of this varibale it is. According to my own understanding, its function is to give a specific number of clusters to a specified class. I'm curious why doing this. Could you help me solve this problem?

k_ban_class is designed to alleviate the issue of imbalanced point cloud categories. Its configuration allows for fewer subclasses to be used for categories with fewer points. This is also the reason we will explore automatic estimation of the cluster number, as stated in the conclusion section of our paper.
