Summary

When using the EarTrumpet application and activating certain spatial audio software, such as Windows Sonic for Headphones, DTS Headphones X, or DTS Ultra, the list of applications in the EarTrumpet widget becomes empty. Preventing from controlling the application any further (like turning volume up/down or changing output devices). Specifically happens with applications like Spotify, Browsers and Media Players.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install and launch EarTrumpet (version 2.2.2.0) on Windows.
  2. Open the EarTrumpet widget from the system tray.
  3. Ensure that some applications are running and producing sound.
  4. Launch any of the following spatial audio software:
    Windows Sonic for Headphones
    DTS Headphones X
    DTS Ultra
  5. After the spatial audio software is loaded, switch back to the EarTrumpet widget.
  6. Notice that the list of applications in the widget is now empty, and no applications are shown for volume control.
