This has been in the add-on settings for about a year:

More Settings ➡️ open "Translation" section in left column (or from Hamburger at mobile and small screen in landscape mode) ➡️ scroll to "do not translate <pre> tags" and try enable.

And codes from left column at wiki should be protected — Only a loosely inserted "or" somewhere will be translated (because it is outside the tags for code and "precode").
