Performance issue after v2.0.0?

I have this not too powerful computer, and after the upgrade to v2.0.0 the search bar pops out noticeably slower. Sometimes taking half a second to 1 second to show.

I tried with preview off, animation off, and I'm using only several plugins. Computer spec is 9th gen i5 and 16GB DDR4, which is supposed to run flow launcher pretty well. Though I have another more modern PC with exact same flow launcher settings, and it does not have similar performance issue.

Only culprit I can think of is this (pic below), searching last time's query drags down the launching process? But I'm using Everything (which I have not updated for a while) and before v2.0.0 everything is responsive.

Edit: I turned off "Use logon task instead of startup entry for faster startup experience", deleted the task manually and restarted my PC. Tested for one day and seems like the issue is gone. Not sure if it's even possible but... Not relevant

Is search delay on or off?

on and set to 150ms
just to be extra clear I'm talking about the search bar/window showing up with a delay, not search results

Well we've not encountered much performance issue. Could you try to download a portable version(just try it without downloading plugins) to see what happens?

I wonder if this delay occurs for every popup? When Flow is on the background for a long time, some resources should be released and next popup will take more time. If you popup Flow at a very high frequency and it delays every time, I think there should be some problems here.

No, not every popup but only from time to time. But I did notice that if I popup Flow again, even right after a popup that lags for seconds, it will be much quicker.

I changed log level to debug and have been trying to reproduce the lag as much as I can, but recent few days it appears significantly less frequently. So I only got the luck to capture this

PluginManager.QueryForPluginAsync - Cost for Explorer <1822ms> This part is a bit sus. But does it mean the explorer plugin is lagging, or is it the Everything that's scanning and giving the results is lagging?

Yeah, I think this problem could be related to Everything service (at least Explorer plugin). In that case, I am afraid I cannot offer more help since I do not know much about Explorer plugin & Everything service.

A bit hard to determine where the lag is happening with the log, but even so I don't think it would impact the pop up animation, with the query cost I would expect lag in typing. Switch explorer off and see if you can still reproduce.
