  • This issue contains only one bug.
  • I have read and understood the contribution guidelines.

Affected app version

1.0.1

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 14, One UI 6.1

Affected device model

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G (SM-A136B)

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open an individual contact.
  2. Switch to edit mode or directly select the account that is assigned to this contact.

Expected behavior

In my opinion, only the following account types should be available for selection, depending on the device and Android version (custom ROM):

  • phone storage
  • SIM card(s)
  • Google (including Outlook Exchange)
  • internal Fossify storage
  • CardDAV
  • other Local contacts that are only made available by installing the associated app (e.g. Microsoft Outlook)

Actual behavior

Presumably all accounts set up on the device are displayed.

This includes accounts that do not manage a local address book.

This includes, for example

  • Cloud accounts like Nextcloud (not CardDAV)
  • GitHub
  • Messenger accounts
  • Samsung (not CardDAV)
  • Twitter / X

Some accounts even appear twice.

Screenshots/Screen recordings

This is the phone memory?
Why does it appear twice?

Additional information

In comparison, the account list in the original Samsung contact app is much tidier.

I already observed this phenomenon under Simple Mobile Tools.

Same problem, I have 3 contacts accounts, and some fields are not shown because I can't choose which account use

@angerangel If you can't choose an account, how is it the same problem? The bug report is about showing too many accounts.
