Affected app version

1.0.1

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 14, One UI 6.1

Affected device model

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G (SM-A136B)

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. The same or similar contacts exist.
  2. The "Merge duplicate contacts" option is deactivated.

Expected behavior

Each contact shows their individual photo, if one is stored.

Actual behavior

A standardized photo of one of the contacts is used for all contacts regardless of whether a picture or another is stored. I would only expect this behavior if the previously mentioned option was activated.

Uploading a different new photo does not change the view, even though the upload was successful, as was shown after a re-synchronization after I moved the contact from one to a CardDAV account.

Screenshots/Screen recordings

No response

Additional information

The contacts app from Samsung is installed in parallel, which is part of the standard installation, which I also use in parallel (sometimes different use cases). I have allowed the merging of contacts in the Samsung application. In my opinion, however, this should have no effect on Fossify Contact, as it is only a display mode at app level.
