Feature description

To block calls from phone numbers which follow a certain pattern like..

  1. Block/ Allow contacts from specific countries. OR
  2. block numbers starting/ending (like NNNNxxxxxxx) where NNNN being the prefix/suffix

Can be easily added under Manage blocked numbers

Why do you want this feature?

To block spam and scam calls for my parents and relatives. Their contacts are within 1-3 countries only.
Also, spam calls have n numbers from a series.

Additional information

[Optional]

  1. If possible, we can set user's country to always allow.
  2. Although not user friendly, but can make it as Block by pattern (regex).

In the Manage blocked numbers setting, after tapping the plus button on the top, you can use * to create patterns in blocked numbers, e.g. you can block an entire country by adding an entry like +48*.

@inson1 It's not even regex. Using an asterisk instead of any characters is standard everywhere.

@Aga-C asterisk, okay, but that doesnt mean normal user knows about it, for example just this fr

@inson1 It's described how to use precisely in a place where user is entering blocked number. We can't make this more obvious.

I wrote the help message there, even added two examples to show how to use the pattern blocking.

I don't see any other way to make it more user friendly while keeping the implementation simple, maybe later. For now, If you have any ideas for a better help message, let me know.
