Can't find my device's local IP

First of all - thank you for your work!
I decided to try EspTuya, but unfortunately I got stuck on what seemed to be the easiest part because I can't find the local IP of my device. I noticed the MAC address of the device from the Smart Life app, then I found it in the client list of my router, but it is grayed out and has no IP address assigned. The device is a battery-operated temperature sensor, and I assume it only communicates occasionally to save power using the MQTT protocol. Is there anything that can be done so that I can still use EspTuya?

Hello,
Unfortunately EspTuya will only work when the device is connected to your router with a valid IP adress, so I don't see how you could sync a request during the short time the device is connected to the router.

I think my only option is to go through Tuya cloud, although that will probably require different hardware.
