Probably bad electrical connection on the prototype connector? Maybe firmware?

Seems related to NKRO. Turned off NKRO HID and it always boots quickly.

The keyboard can still detect NKRO but the HID report limits that to
6KRO.

Was related to bad serial number implementation.
