Guidelines

  • I have searched the documentation for information that matches the description of the feature request I want to file, without success.
  • This issue contains only one feature request.

Problem Description

When I open a live stream on FreeTube and press "Use audio formats" in order to only have the audio playing, and not the video, it says "Audio formats are not available for this video".

Proposed Solution

If the audio cannot be isolated like on a normal YouTube video, then maybe the video player can be disabled and replaced with an audio player when a user selects to "use audio formats".

Alternatives Considered

None I could think of.

Issue Labels

improvement to existing feature

Additional Information

This feature would be useful for lowering GPU usage when listening to a radio live stream on YouTube, in which there is no need to keep the video playing in the background, as you only want to listen to the audio.
