Thank you so, so much for your post on managing emacs windows and frames with org-protocol. It was exactly what I have been looking for.
Your readers may be interested in a small modification I made in the context of Cygwin in Windows. There the handler has to be registered with the Windows registry. In case it is helpful to others, this is the org-protocol.reg file I had to use:
Create that file with a file extension *.reg and then double click it in Windows Explorer. After providing admin credentials, the registry will be modified appropriately. Caution: errors modifying the registry can cause severe problems with Windows. I can't guarantee that the above code will work properly for everyone ... for example, something may transform in the cut-and-paste operations. But it looks right to me and it works well for me.
The emacs lisp you provided works with no change when added to my init.el.
Once again, thank you. Your advice has really improved my org-capture experience.
