It would be nice if there was a way to create and export a project that was image version agnostic. Still the same image type (IOSvL2 as an example), but the version of the image does not matter. This would make sharing and using labs on/from the marketplace significantly better.
One way to achieve this if you save a reference to the appliance file in the project file. The appliance file contains references to tested images so when the project is imported GNS3 could scan the system and pick the newest possible image or present the user with a list if options.
A fixed UUID should be added in each appliance so they can easily be referenced in project files.
