Shrinc User Testing Results

Notes

We interviewed two different colleagues of Max, one colleague of my own, and then Max and I had a discussion together. These are the most important and potentially actionable things that came out of it from the notes that I have made:

  • Needs more explanation about the purpose of the app on the main page
    • copy like 'classify your state' wasn't clear to anyone
  • People were not sure exactly what the questionnaire was meant for. 'Questionnaire' makes it sound like it is just about giving the organization data, rather than doing something that will help the user
  • The text on both buttons needs to be more clear. Something like "Find the Therapy for You" and "Search Therapists"
  • Bit of confusion with the menu turning into the back button. The menu should be consistent on every page and the back button should appear when necessary
  • Could have an option to clear survey answers
  • Results page needs to be more clear

  • questionnaire purpose was not clear
  • too much information on types of therapy page, needs to be very simple, very clear
  • did not like the white doctor coats on the landing image. Bad connotations, doesn't make them feel safe. Could be the logo for now?
  • Could have an option for therapists to upload a picture of the therapy treatment room in their profile

  • 'classify your state' was confusing
  • Questions felt long - would be better as individual questions one at a time. Would also need progress bar/breadcrumbs
  • Could be interesting to be able to save the therapist, maybe to contacts
  • Lots of text on types of therapy page
  • Types of therapy page could link to therapist search for each type of therapy in the description
  • expected a search bar in the filter
  • therapist sign up might need some explanation copy before the form

  • might be better to show one question at a time
  • results page needs to be clearer - why are we doing the questionnaire and what is the result.
  • The suggested therapy type can link to the types of therapy page. Same in the therapist profile
  • Can remove 'filter therapies' and 'types of therapies buttons from results' and have a search for therapists button at the bottom.

Takeaways (To-Do)

These are my suggested changes to the Figma for today:

  • Try changing the landing page image to the logo
  • Change the intro copy on landing page (to be sent by Max)
  • remove the 'classify your state' text
  • Change the text on both buttons to something more clear like "Find the Right Therapy for You" and "Search for Therapists"
  • Add the burger menu to every page
  • Stretch: Add search buttons to types of therapy accordion sections
  • To be discussed: make design to display each answer on a new page?
  • Stretch: Search bar in filter?
  • Add some space for explanation copy before form in therapist sign up page
  • Stretch: option for therapists to upload a picture of the therapy treatment room in their profile
  • In results page:
    • Remove filter therapies and types of therapies buttons
    • Change initial copy to "According to your answers, we would suggest that you search for therapists specializing in:" followed by the type of therapy (this copy might change)
    • the suggested type of therapy links to the 'types of therapy' page
    • Include button underneath to "Search for Therapists" that will link to the search page with the filter already selected for that type of therapy (this way, whether we go to search from the landing page or the results page, we go to the same place)
