Warning Strobe not doing anything?

Hello! I've recently began playing with this mod and wanted to use the "Warning Strobe" thing, but it does literally nothing (no effect with redstone input). There's nothing written about it in the in-game book nor any issue listed on Github on this subject. Is it supposed to not do anything or am I missing something?
