Lag when playing with world host

my friend who im trying to play a modpack (atm7) with is experiencing massive lag

We are both in the EU
we both have good enough pcs for the modpack
my internet should be good enough when hosting
his internet is better than mine

@KingHonk69 You do not need that much to have massive lag. I have only 109 mods and as soon as the world is opened to friends there will be heavy lag spikes even when playing alone.
