Menuitem highlight color

I'm using Breeze-dark-gtk, available as part of https://store.kde.org/p/1197982 . Menuitem highlight color isn't showing up.

Like rdbende replied on another issue ; menus and menubar are not Ttk, they are pure old plain Tk, so they are not themable.
For the new 0.9 version of gtkTtk, I looked at what git gui made and write something very close to make menubar and menus used the same colors as the gtk theme. It's working and I'm actually testing it.
