Hi Guys, im running several different rigs, however across all of them something strange happens. I'm running with a very simple bat with connection, username, password and the -f 2 -z 1 commands. Driver version is 16.10.3 and hardware is rx 470s and other rigs 280x. The miner runs great when its running, however often the genoil.exe window will abruptly close after an hour or so of mining. I have used the restart script and it works some of the time, but i would like a more reliable solution so I don't have to babysit my miner. Has anyone had this issue? Have you discovered a solution?

Thanks,

The_Lightbearer

That's what you told it to do with the -f 2 = EXIT on gpu fail.

:loop
genoil.exe -k zec zec zec zec -c pooladdr -u addr.workername -p x -P 1 -g 0 -f 2
goto loop

try this batch file with 0.6

use only -k zec zec if your gpu has 4GB VRAM.

Problem with these loop/spawn bats is that with 3-4min load time for a 6gpu system, you end up spending more time reloading than hashing. NEED the watchdogs to do their job.

that's the temporary solution until someone figures out what causes it i guess. you can launch 1 instance each gpu instead of restarting all 6 gpu at once.

same issue with -f 0, its seems this is known about however and will hopefully be resolved soon? It's an ongoing issue since 0.4

+1. I have the same problem. So work is
:begin
genoil.exe -c zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6666 -u XXXX/rig1 -p z -f 0 -z 1
timeout /T 5
goto begin

I tested zcrewsmoks script, the miner closes after the timeout and does not re open. Hopefully genoil fixes this. Im sick of babysitting its honestly not worth the time it takes to keep restarting 10 rigs over and over.

@The-Lightbearer I feel ya! It's maddening.

I cant use the -k zec zec command even though I have 8gb cards I keep getting the warning my system is running out of memory

for all of you with the problems try this script... its working for me..
run this file..
:restart
start "" cmd /C start.bat
TIMEOUT /T 3600
taskkill /f /im genoil.exe
TIMEOUT /T 3
goto restart

lets say your miner is faling every hour.. well thats 3600sec.. change that to the time it fails.. iT will open autom
