Does an elapsed time task have a start gate? Is it a kind of race task or a third kind of task?

Starts may be either Air or Ground Starts and may be either a single start time (Race to Goal) or a number of start periods (Elapsed Time Speed Run).

As far as FS is concerned, the difference between an elapsed time task and a race to goal task is that the later has start gates.
