"Too Expensive" Combinations Remain Impossible After Maxing Smithing

Describe the Issue

Anvil combinations that exceed the limit remain impossible even after maxing the Smithing skill and obtaining its bonus. However, normal anvil combinations seem to function normally. Although I did not see a resulting item, I suspect that this issue may be related. The images show a before and after, the sole difference being that I maxed the Smithing skill.

Do you use any other mods except the required ones?

No. I made sure to isolate the issue.

Just realized that I forgot to update the latest.log after removing Sodium and Mod Menu just in case. Suffice to say, the problem persists.
