Your Solution

I suggest introducing the ability to click [+] in HEI (as if using a crafting table) to paste every item or fluid (whichever is relevant) into a filter configuration. The button would appear if you open a recipe in HEI while the filter/cover configuration interface is open, just like when making patterns or crafting.

Additional Information

This would save many clicks and reduce tedium without taking away any actual decisions. It would make the game more comfortable and setups would be faster to make.
