We're using discussions as a place where the community can discuss HDF4 development.

There is a pinned post at the HDF Group Forum that discusses our breaking change policy.

Please note that HDF4 is currently in maintenance mode, so we're unlikely to add new features to the library (API calls, etc.) unless it solves a critical problem. The current focus is on keeping this elderly, but still useful, library kicking in modern software environments.
