The current release cycle for ExoJAX is anticipated to be approximately once every six months. The next release (v1.5) is targeted for the end of March 2024. This release will focus on radiative transfer, primarily incorporating the following new features:
A functionality for computing transmission spectra that can be used in actual analysis. Although the transmission spectrum feature has already been implemented in a beta version, there are some known issues in this beta version, such as the inability to perform differentiation by temperature, that affect its practical use. These issues will be resolved in v1.5. @sh-tada
A beta version of the functionality for calculating reflected and scattered light. Until now, ExoJAX has not been able to compute reflection and scattering. This beta version will be provided.
A beta version of intensity-based radiative spectra. While flux-based radiative spectra have been extensively tested with actual data, this release will provide a beta version of intensity-based pure absorption radiative spectrum calculations.
These are the main additional features of v1.5. For more information, please refer to here.
Also, we are considering aligning the release with that of RADIS 0.15, if possible.
